Spiteri joins Victorians coaching staff

We’ve another signing to announce! This time in the coaching department. Naxxar Victorians are proud to announce that Frans Spiteri will be joining us until the end of the season with an option of also working with us next season as well. Spiteri is a well experienced coach, with more than 23 years of football knowledge under his belt. He will be joining current head coach Kurt Aquilina in a joint role which aims to push the team forward.

Speaking to naxxarvictorians.com for the first time, Spiteri said that “there is a great spirit within the team’s players”, and that he has all he needs to work with for the rest of the season. Spiteri has been in control of the team’s training sessions this past two weeks and together with Aquilina, they plan to continue building up the players’ confidence.

“We need to start believing that we are able to play football as well as any other team in the league.” Spiteri said. He was positive in the fact that despite the position the team is in, he was going to push towards achieving that aim of staying in the first division.

Spiteri praised the club’s administration saying “the club feels very organised.” He added that, “there are some very hard-working people who ‘do their best for the club’s football’.

Coach Spiteri makes his official debut on the sidelines for the Naxxar Victorians this afternoon against Valletta St Paul’s. He remarked that the Citizens have a valid midfield and so he has worked hard with the team in order to counteract all this, hoping that the training will eventually be fruitful in the game on Saturday.

From the Naxxar Victorians and naxxarvictorians.com team, we wish Frans Spiteri the very best with us here at the club!
