Naxxar Victorians FC confirms that Connor Muchmore has been re-appointed head coach for the rest of the current season and for the whole of next season.
Muchmore, a former Victorians player, returns to the role after previously leading the team until 2024. During his playing days, he was an important figure for the club and once held Naxxar’s goalscoring record before retiring due to injury.
After ending his playing career, Muchmore moved into coaching and assisted then-coach Frans Spiteri before eventually taking over as head coach. He later stepped down in 2024 due to the difficulty of committing to another season.
However, after becoming available again this season, Muchmore returned to the club as part of coach Jake Agius’ staff. He worked as an attacking coach and team liaison, helping improve communication between the players and coaching team.
Following Agius’ recent departure, Muchmore took charge on an interim basis. However, the club has now decided to hand him the reins for the remainder of this campaign and next season.
Naxxar Victorians FC wishes Connor every success on his return as head coach and looks forward to working with him as the team builds towards the next stage of its journey.
