Naxxar Victorians FC are pleased to announce that long-time player Connor Muchmore has been appointed as the club’s new Attacking Coach and Team Support Officer.
In his new role, Muchmore will work closely with Head Coach Jake Agius to strengthen the team’s attacking play, bringing his experience and insight from years on the pitch. Coach Agius will continue to lead the team, with Muchmore focusing on developing the attacking side of the game.
In addition to his coaching duties, the Englishman will also serve as Team Support Officer on the club committee – acting as a bridge between the players, coaching staff, and committee members. His goal will be to help build a stronger connection within the squad and ensure every voice is heard.
Club president Karl Borg Rapa described the move as part of a wider effort to keep the team progressing:
“This change is being made to push the team forward – to get even better. Now it’s the players’ turn to step up, bring the aggression, and help us get the results we all want to see.”
Muchmore, who has been part of the Victorians setup for nearly a decade, expressed his enthusiasm to remain involved despite a recent setback.
“Due to breaking and dislocating my jaw, and the recovery afterwards, it’s time to step back from playing,” he wrote on his socials.
“But I’m delighted to stay involved with Naxxar Victorians as Attacking Coach and Team Support for the Committee. You think it’s going to be that easy to be rid of me after the best part of a decade? Let’s show what we’re made of this season!”
The club extends its warmest welcome to Coach Muchmore in his new dual role and looks forward to seeing the positive impact his experience and passion will bring to the team.

Minbarra r-rwol ta’ kowċ, Muchmore se jservi wkoll bħala Uffiċjal ta’ Appoġġ lit-Tim fil-kumitat, fejn se jkun il-pont bejn il-plejers, l-istaff tekniku u l-kumitat. L-għan tiegħu ħa jkun li jsaħħaħ il-komunikazzjoni u l-ispirtu tal-grupp fi ħdan it-tim.
Il-president tal-Club Karl Borg Rapa ddeskriva din il-bidla bħala pass ’il quddiem biex it-tim ikompli jitjieb u jsaħħaħ il-prestazzjonijiet tiegħu:
“Din il-bidla qed issir biex inkomplu nimxu ’l quddiem – biex insiru aħjar. Issa wasal il-mument tat-tim biex ipoġġi l-aggressività fil-grawnd u niksbu r-riżultati li lkoll irridu naraw.”
